- Higher-molecular-weight α-synuclein oligomers are increased in the brain cytosol of patients with dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB).
- The study used size-exclusion chromatography, MJFR14-6-4-2 ELISA, and SDS-denaturing immunoblotting to analyze α-synuclein oligomers.
- DLB-specific accumulation of large SDS-soluble oligomers was found, along with medium-sized oligomers (dimers and trimers) present in both DLB and controls.
