  • Durvalumab plus anlotinib as maintenance therapy after first-line chemo-immunotherapy showed a significant improvement in progression-free survival compared to durvalumab alone in a phase II trial for extensive-stage small-cell lung cancer.
  • This combination therapy displayed a median PFS of 5.4 months vs. 1.9 months with durvalumab alone, with a tolerable safety profile characterized by grade 3–4 adverse events occurring in 24.2% vs. 12.5% of patients, respectively.
  • Biomarker analysis indicated that patients with impaired antigen presentation or low blood tumor mutational burden derived more benefit from the combination maintenance regimen, while those with high levels saw similar outcomes in both groups.
