Google’s unfinished DeX-like desktop mode for Android

Google is developing a new desktop interface called 'Desktop View' for Android phones.
'Desktop View' will feature a persistent taskbar and resizable, freeform windows for multitasking.
This mode is designed to work when connecting an Android phone to an external display.
The interface includes a taskbar similar to Windows or ChromeOS, with quick access to pinned and recent apps.
Users can drag and drop content between windows if the apps support it.
Currently, 'Desktop View' is a work in progress and hidden in developer options in beta builds.
Google is enhancing Android's capabilities for external displays, including display rearrangement and mouse movement between screens.
This development signals Google's intent to offer a DeX-like alternative for non-Samsung users.
