Tomoya Ikeda was a key figure in the creation of the Flying Toasters screensaver for After Dark.
He worked for Enzan-Hoshigumi (Computer Gangsters), known for high-quality Japanese-style Clipart and MacCalligraphy software.
Ikeda showcased his work at MacWorld EXPO in 1988, including a large thermal print folding screen.
He created notable works like 'The Golden Dragon' and became fascinated with mandalas in 1988.
Ikeda's career spanned from computer graphics in Japan to game software translation in the US.
He passed away in 1998 at age 39 from cancer, leaving behind a legacy in digital art.
