  • Study of 206 AF patients: DZ(+) group had additional ablation targeting DZs along with PVI, while DZ(-) group had PVI alone.
  • DZs were colocalized with inducible atrial tachycardia critical isthmuses in 81.4% of cases.
  • Arrhythmia-free survival was higher in DZ(-) patients than DZ(+) at 12.5 months follow-up.
  • Presence of DZ was the sole independent predictor of arrhythmia recurrence (HR 2.152).
