- This study quantified retinal curvature as a geometric descriptor of posterior pole shape and evaluated its associations with axial length and high myopia.
- Using wide-field SS-OCTA on 284 eyes, high myopia was associated with lower curvature in specific macular regions (RC5, RC6, RCS).
- Longer axial length was associated with lower curvature in RC5, RC6, RCS, and RCT regions.
- Interocular analysis showed interocular axial length differences were positively associated with curvature differences in ΔRC3 and ΔRCS, but inversely with ΔRC6.
- Conclusions indicate retinal curvature provides region-specific geometric characterization, with spatially heterogeneous associations in myopic eyes, supporting its use to describe posterior pole geometry variation.
