- The XMonad devteam is seeking help to port XMonad to Wayland.
- They have collected contributions to pay someone for this work but don't know who can do it.
- An existing project for this exists but is outdated and uses an old, buggy version of wlroots.
- A major challenge is that Wayland programs don't set distinct identifiers for manageHook, making appName and className hooks non-portable.
