Windows WSL 2.7.0 Released with Newer Linux 6.6 LTS Point Release, Many Fixes

Microsoft released WSL 2.7.0, the latest version of Windows Subsystem for Linux.
WSL 2.7.0 uses a downstream Linux kernel derived from Linux 6.6.114 LTS.
Despite newer LTS kernels (6.12 and 6.18), WSL remains on the 6.6 branch for stability.
The update includes security fixes, bug fixes, settings improvements, and restored WSL2_VM_ID environment variable.
Translation updates and other minor changes are also part of this release.
WSL 2.7.0 is available on GitHub for those interested in the open-source project.
