Stellantis cancels development of the all-electric Ram 1500 REV due to low demand for full-size battery-electric trucks.
The Ram 1500 REV is renamed to Ram 1500 REV (formerly Ramcharger), focusing on extended-range capabilities.
The extended-range Ram 1500 REV will offer 690 miles of range using a combination of battery and gas generator.
Production of the extended-range Ram 1500 REV is now planned for 2026, delayed from earlier timelines.
Stellantis initially aimed to launch the all-electric Ram 1500 REV in 2024, but delays pushed it to 2026 before cancellation.
