- The LINEAR randomized trial compared a lattice-tip catheter to a standard irrigated focal-tip catheter for radiofrequency ablation of the cavotricuspid isthmus (CTI).
- The primary endpoint of achieving and maintaining bidirectional CTI block after 60 minutes was met in significantly more patients using the lattice-tip catheter (94.1%) compared to the standard catheter (68.6%).
- The lattice-tip catheter also achieved a significantly higher rate of first-pass block, required shorter ablation time, and fewer lesions than the standard catheter, with no procedural complications reported.
