BYD's 5 min fast charging, 500 mile range luxury EV is headed overseas

BYD's Denza Z9 GT is claimed to be the world's longest-range pure EV, with a WLTP range of nearly 500 miles.
The Denza Z9 GT features BYD's Blade Battery 2.0 and Flash Charging technology, enabling a range of up to 1,036 km (644 miles) under CTLC conditions and 5-minute fast charging (10% to 70%).
Available in single-motor (496 hp) and tri-motor (1,140 hp) configurations, the tri-motor variant accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3 seconds.
The luxury EV offers an 'opera-house entertainment experience' with bespoke speakers and Dolby Atmos audio.
BYD's Flash Charging stations deliver up to 1,500 kW, charging the battery from 10% to 70% in 5 minutes and 10% to 97% in 9 minutes, even in cold conditions.
The Denza Z9 GT will launch in Europe on April 8, 2026, with plans to expand Flash Charging stations globally, starting in Europe.
