- Distinguishing between primary and metastatic mucinous ovarian carcinoma (MOC) is crucial but challenging.
- The MOC Origin Prediction Model (MOCOPM) was developed using deep learning to predict MOC origin from histopathology images.
- Data from 167 MOC patients across three hospitals was used, divided into internal and external cohorts.
- MOCOPM achieved an average AUROC of 0.91 in internal validation and 0.96 in external validation.
- The model supports clinical decision-making in MOC diagnosis.
