- Magnetic resonance enterography (MRE) predictors were identified for surgery and anti-TNF-α initiation in pediatric isolated ileocaecal Crohn's disease.
- Maximum bowel wall thickness (BWT) was independently associated with both surgical intervention and anti-TNF-α treatment escalation.
- BWT > 8 mm was the optimal cut-off for predicting the need for surgery, with a sensitivity of 78% and specificity of 52%.
