The Linux Foundation announced the intent to launch the React Foundation to steward React and React Native.

Founding members include Amazon, Callstack, Expo, Meta, Microsoft, Software Mansion, and Vercel.
Seth Webster, Head of React at Meta, will serve as the executive director.
The foundation ensures React remains open, innovative, and community-led.
React Native is downloaded over 4M times weekly and is a top choice for mobile developers.
The move marks a milestone in open-source front-end development.
