- Cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic syndrome (CKM) is highly prevalent (90%) in patients undergoing transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI).
- Procedural success decreases with increasing CKM conditions, with the worst outcomes in patients having all three CKM conditions (ASCVD, CKD, DM).
- Patients with 2 or 3 CKM conditions have a higher probability of death within 1 year compared to those with fewer or no CKM conditions.
- Three CKM conditions are associated with higher rates of permanent pacemaker implantation but not major bleeding.
- After adjusting for comorbidities, three CKM conditions remained linked to increased all-cause mortality at 1, 2, and 5 years post-TAVI.
