- NixOS is a Linux distribution, with Nixpkgs usable on other Linux systems and macOS.
- This release will receive updates until 2026-06-30; 25.05 "Warbler" is deprecated.

- GNOME 49 "Brescia" introduced, dropping X11 support and adding new features.
