Restoration of a Macintosh Classic, a budget version of the Macintosh Plus from 1990.
Key issues addressed: leaky batteries and capacitors, cracked solder joints.
Process included removing and replacing the battery with a coin cell adapter, recapping the analog board and motherboard.
Upgrades performed: RAM increased to 4MB and installation of a PRAM coin cell battery replacement.
Initial success with the hard drive, but later issues arose requiring booting from an external BlueSCSI v2.
Consideration of retro-brighting the case to restore original color.
Future plans include restoring a Mac Plus and attending VCF Midwest.
