BYD unveiled the Seal 08, a new flagship electric sedan at the Beijing Auto Show, featuring a second-generation Blade Battery with over 1,000 km CLTC range and megawatt-level flash charging that adds 400 km of range in five minutes.
The Seal 08 is built on an 800V platform, offers dual-motor all-wheel-drive with 684 hp, rear-wheel steering, and an intelligent driving system with roof-mounted LiDAR, positioning it as a competitor to high-end sedans like the Mercedes-Benz EQS.
BYD plans to launch the Seal 08 in China in Q2 2026, with an expected price range of RMB 300,000 to 350,000 (approximately $42,000 to $49,000 USD), leveraging its scale and vertical integration to offer advanced technology at competitive prices.
