Ida was known for his work on Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow and as Creative Director for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Koji Igarashi, co-founder of ArtPlay, praised Ida's exceptional talent and his contributions to the gaming industry.
Ida worked with Igarashi for over 20 years, helping define the modern era of Castlevania and the Metroidvania genre.
At the time of his death, Ida was working on Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement, which ArtPlay vows to complete in his honor.
