- Ureteral jet angle measurement is a noninvasive screening tool for high-grade vesicoureteral reflux (VUR).
- The study evaluated the association of ureteral jet angle with urinary tract infection (UTI) development and VUR improvement.
- Interrater reliability for ureteral jet angle measurement was high (ICC(2,1): 0.90).
- Ureteral jet angle was significantly higher in patients with multiple UTIs (73.8° ± 2.1°) vs. single episode (67.8° ± 1.9°, p = 0.036).
- Higher ureteral jet angle was observed in breakthrough UTI cases (p = 0.013).
- Lower ureteral jet angle was associated with VUR downgrading (p < 0.001) and resolution (p < 0.001).
- Patients requiring surgical intervention had a significantly higher ureteral jet angle (p < 0.001).
- Findings support the role of ureteral jet angle measurement in VUR management.
