- Study compares early versus late add-on therapy in generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG).
- 153 AChR antibody-positive gMG patients from eight German centers were included.
- Patients grouped by treatment initiation within 24 months (EIT) or later (LIT).
- EIT group showed more pronounced clinical improvement and fewer deteriorations.
- Significant differences in MG-ADL and QMG reductions favoring EIT.
- Patient-acceptable symptom states more often reached with EIT.
- Prednisone declined more steeply in EIT patients.
- Findings support timely escalation for better efficacy and tolerability in gMG care.
