  • Study compares trunk stretching plus lumbar stabilization vs. lumbar stabilization alone for chronic non-specific low back pain (CNLBP).
  • 34 CNLBP patients were divided into two groups: AS+LSS (active stretching + lumbar stabilization) and PS+LSS (placebo stretching + lumbar stabilization).
  • Both groups showed significant pain reduction and improved functional disability post-intervention.
  • Improvements in depression and anxiety were noted during the intervention but did not last at follow-up.
  • No significant differences were found between the two groups in any measured variables.
  • Conclusion: Lumbar stabilization exercises alone are sufficient for reducing pain and disability in CNLBP patients.
