  • In vivo tests on normoglycaemic and alloxan-induced diabetic Wistar rats showed the ethanol extract reduced glycaemia and improved glucose tolerance.
  • The extract also favorably modulated dyslipidaemia and showed additive effects when combined with metformin or gliclazide.
