- Approximately 23% of patients with cerebrospinal fluid-venous fistulas (CVF) treated with transvenous embolization (TVE) required retreatment.
- Most retreatment patients (74%) experienced persistent or recurrent symptoms within 3 months after the initial TVE.
- About one-third of retreatments were due to CVF recurrence at the same site and level, one-third adjacent to the original site, and one-third remote from the initial fistula.
