- An angiography-derived fractional flow reserve (FFRangio) strategy is noninferior to pressure-wire-based FFR for guiding PCI in patients with intermediate coronary stenosis.
- The primary composite endpoint of death, myocardial infarction, or unplanned revascularization at 1 year showed similar rates between FFRangio (6.9%) and pressure-wire groups (7.1%).
- FFRangio may simplify procedures by eliminating the need for a pressure wire, potentially increasing adoption of physiological assessment in catheterization labs.
