- Preoperative percutaneous auricular electroacupuncture stimulation (PAES) improves anxiety and postoperative recovery in breast cancer patients.
- 60 patients were divided into treatment (PAES) and control (sham stimulation) groups.
- PAES group showed higher Quality of Recovery Score (QoR-15) post-surgery compared to control.
- Anxiety scores (APAIS) and information demand were lower in PAES group before surgery.
- PAES improved sleep quality (PSQI) and reduced postoperative NSAID use.
- No adverse reactions were reported from PAES or sham stimulation.
