- Serial extractions (SE) in mixed dentition patients with severe crowding resulted in a significant reduction of the SN-GoGn angle (about 2.3°), MMPA, and gonial angle, unlike enucleations (EE) or untreated controls.
- No significant changes in IMPA, L1-Apo, and UIMx measurements were found in any group, indicating no lingual tipping of incisors occurred with either extraction method.
- The study was a retrospective longitudinal cephalometric analysis comparing SE and EE treatments against a matched control group from the AAOF Craniofacial Growth Legacy Collection.
