Ray Holt designed the world's first digital electronic flight computer, the CADC, for the F-14 Tomcat.
The CADC project was classified for 30 years, only declassified in 1997.
Holt worked at AMI on microprocessor designs after leaving Garrett AiResearch.
He co-founded Microcomputer Associates, publishing Microcomputer Digest and developing the Jolt microprocessor board.
Holt transitioned to STEM education, founding STEM Advancement, Inc., to teach disadvantaged kids in Mississippi.
He envisions a Mississippi Institute of Technology to foster STEM education from 4th to 12th grade.
