Volkswagen is changing its EV naming strategy, starting with the ID.Polo.
The ID.Polo is an affordable entry-level EV, expected to launch next year.
Volkswagen plans to transfer popular ICE model names to its new EVs.
The ID.Polo will have a sporty GTI variant, launching as the ID.Polo GTI.
Volkswagen will also introduce the ID.Cross, an electric version of the T-Cross SUV.
The ID.Polo and ID.Polo GTI will debut at the Munich Motor Show in September.
Volkswagen aims to make electric driving more affordable with its new EV lineup.
