- sx 2.0 is a native desktop app for Mac, Windows, and Linux that allows teams to share AI skills without requiring git or terminal usage.
- It uses shared folders like Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, or iCloud as the backend, enabling non-technical users in marketing, legal, sales, and ops to easily distribute skills.
- The app includes an extension system for adding features like dashboard widgets, publish-time checks, and team-health tools such as Collection Doctor and adoption widgets.
- Extensions are permission-gated and managed through the same pipeline as skills, ensuring security and control for organizations.
- sx 2.0 maintains compatibility with the CLI and existing vault types, while introducing collections for grouping skills and automatic updates across teams.
