Samsung reveals Galaxy Z Fold 8 that will compete with the iPhone Ultra

- Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 8 at a London event, alongside the Z Flip 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra, with the Z Fold 8 being a new form factor competing with the expected iPhone Ultra Fold.
- The Z Fold 8 features a wider 4:3 aspect ratio, a 7.6-inch inner AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, and a 5.5-inch outer display, making it suitable for multitasking and reading.
- Weighing only 201 grams, Samsung claims it is the world's lightest foldable, using Flex Titanium technology and Armor Flexhinge for durability.
- It is available for pre-order at $1,899.99 in four colors (lavender, cream, graphite, pistachio) with 12GB-16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage, and begins shipping August 7.
- The device has a 4,800mAh battery with 45W wired and 20W wireless charging, 50MP main and ultrawide cameras, and can shoot 8K video at 30fps, plus a new AI-powered My Fancam feature for social media clips.
