Chatto is now open source and available for self-hosting, featuring a fast, compact group chat application similar to popular services but with enhanced privacy and encryption.
The application supports easy self-hosting on multiple platforms, includes built-in voice and video calls with end-to-end encryption, and allows hosting multiple communities via separate processes.
Chatto Cloud will soon enter public beta, offering paid hosting with European infrastructure, automatic scaling, backups, and no lock-in, while future updates focus on safety features and client polishing.
