Starting January 2027, Gmail will end support for sending emails from third-party accounts using the 'Send as' feature, Gmailify, and POP on the web.
Users can still access third-party email accounts through the Gmail mobile app, desktop mail clients, or the provider's native website or app.
The changes do not affect 'Send as' for Gmail-to-Gmail aliases or Google Workspace accounts, nor third-party client access via IMAP, POP, or API.
A transition period runs from Q3 2026 to January 2027, during which new configurations may be restricted; users are encouraged to migrate to alternatives.
Imported messages will remain in Gmail, and auto-forwarding from third-party accounts is still supported.
