Geely challenges BYD with 2.2 MW charging technology

- Geely unveiled "Geely Smart Charge" technology with a single-gun peak power output of 2,250 kW, setting a new industry record.
- The system uses the Xingrui PowerMind AI model for Extreme Charge, Smart Charge, and Auto Charge, with thermal prediction adjusting power to keep battery temperature below 55°C (peak under 65°C).
- In CATARC tests, a Lynk & Co 10 achieved peak charging power of 1,093 kW, maintaining battery temperatures below 55°C for 57% of the charge from 10% to 97%.
- New Aegis Golden Brick batteries: a 12C battery (10% to 70% in ~4.5 min) for Lynk & Co 10 and Zeekr 001, and a 6C battery (10% to 70% in ~8.4 min) for Geely Galaxy E5.
