Giving friends custom text buzzes based on Morse code
a day ago
- The author found it annoying not knowing who texted them because of generic vibration patterns.
- Texts have high signal-to-noise ratio but only about 40% are relevant at any moment.
- Created custom text tones for 25 people using Morse code of their initials.
- Manually recorded each vibration pattern in iPhone settings, taking about 45 minutes.
- Used a Claude-generated artifact to play Morse code beats for easier recording.
- The author advises friends to call for urgent matters since texts may not be seen promptly.
