- Raspberry Pi Desktop for PC and Mac now available, based on Debian Trixie 64-bit.
- Includes Raspberry Pi Connect client for remote screen sharing and terminal access.
- Originated from a 2016 weekend project by Simon Long, later released as a bootable DVD.
- Updated after years of demand; runs on most PCs and Intel-based Macs (not Apple Silicon).
- Can be used as live USB with persistence or installed via Calamares installer.
- Comments highlight its usefulness for extending life of old computers.
