- The studio prioritizes a single compelling element from a source story and builds a tight 20-minute episode around it, cutting all else.
- No LLMs are used for writing; all story development is done manually by humans.
- Directing involves creating a detailed beat sheet for action, angles, and pacing, then generating cheap, rough draft clips to test emotion and pacing.
- High-quality animation is generated using character and environment references, with an agent rerunning prompts; humans only step in to fix missed shots.
- Post-production includes upscaling, frame-by-frame cleaning of AI artifacts, and adding dialogue, music, and sound effects—mostly AI-generated except for voice acting.
- The studio aims to make anime creation financially feasible in the US, pay artists better, and avoid the exploitative Japanese production committee system.
- Stories are adapted for Gen Z/Gen Alpha audiences, often focusing on universal experiences like high school, with cuts to subplots and side characters to maintain pacing.
- The process involves story selection, beat sheet drafting, AI animation at 720p, and post-production using tools like Topaz, DaVinci, and Reaper.
- Music and sound effects are AI-generated for now, with plans to hire composers for full-length films later.
- The entire workflow emphasizes efficiency, iteration, and maintaining a human touch in creative decisions.
