- Alan Turing wrote a précis of Einstein's Theory of Relativity at age 15½ for his mother.
- The précis summarizes the book chapter by chapter and includes directions on how to read it.
- The notebook contains calendars for 1928 and 1929 on the back cover.
- A typed letter from Mrs. Turing to the Librarian of King's College, dated 31 May 1960, presents the book to the college.
- The document is a paper notebook with 25 sheets in an envelope, plus a xerox copy.

- Peter J. Denning argues that Alan Turing's foundational assumptions about AI—that intelligence can exist independently of a body and that imitation equals intelligence—are flawed and have misled AI research for 75 years.
- The core limitation is 'tacit knowledge': human understanding that includes common sense, emotions, practical skills, and cultural context, which cannot be encoded into computers.
- Large language models manipulate symbols without understanding meaning, as they lack the embodied knowledge and context that give words significance.
- Context and culture are essential for human intelligence, involving endless layers of background assumptions that machines cannot replicate.
- The gap between human and machine tacit knowledge creates an 'uncrossable divide,' raising serious AI safety concerns about machines developing alien intelligence indifferent to human well-being.
Racy short story by Alan Turing offers glimpse of 'playful, funny, cheeky' side

- Professor Sarah Dillon challenges the popular view of Alan Turing as an isolated mathematician, revealing him as playful, funny, and literary through his little-known short story 'Pryce's Buoy'.
- The short story, written after Turing's arrest for homosexuality, shows his love for literature, enjoyment of life, and lack of shame about his sexuality, countering the Hollywood portrayal in 'The Imitation Game'.
- Turing's story depicts a potential sexual encounter with a working-class sex worker, influenced by author Angus Wilson, and suggests his sexual spirit remained strong despite prosecution and chemical castration.
- Dillon hopes her findings, published in the Review of English Studies, will reset the narrative of Turing as a one-dimensional figure, emphasizing his complexity and humanity.
